Howdy WG folks,

It's been expressed to me that rfc9225 may have been read as
contributing to the inappropriate sniping that occurred on the mailing
list.

That was certainly the furthest from the authors (myself and Job)
intention, but in retrospect it does seem that we should have seen
this potential given recent history on the list. I apologize for not
seeing that and I assure you that I will do my best to keep an eye out
for these sorts of things in the future.
