Hi all,

A new version of draft-xie-sidrops-moa-profile has been submitted.

Based on the suggestion of Job Sinjders, the definition of canonical ordering of v4Prefixs is added in section of 4.2.1. We think this will allow RP software to more easily verify the contents of the eContent. Accordingly, draft-ietf-sidrops-rpki-prefixlist is added to the reference.

We authors express our sincere thanks to Job for his review and improvement to this draft.

As usual, we hope to receive more comments and suggestions from you.

Best regards
Chongfeng

A new version of Internet-Draft draft-xie-sidrops-moa-profile-05.txt has been
successfully submitted by Chongfeng Xie and posted to the
IETF repository.

Name: draft-xie-sidrops-moa-profile
Revision: 05
Title: A Profile for Mapping Origin Authorizations (MOAs)
Date: 2024-06-16
Group: Individual Submission
Pages: 11
URL: https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-xie-sidrops-moa-profile-05.txt
Status: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-xie-sidrops-moa-profile/
HTMLized: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-xie-sidrops-moa-profile
Diff: https://author-tools.ietf.org/iddiff?url2=draft-xie-sidrops-moa-profile-05

Abstract:

For the authenticity of the mapping origin of IPv4 address block in
IPv6-only networks, this document defines a standard profile for
Mapping Origin Authorizations (MOAs). MOA is a cryptographically
signed object that provides a means of verifying that the holder of a
set of IPv4 prefixes has authorized an IPv6 mapping prefix to
originate mapping for those prefixes. When receiving the MOA objects
from the relying parties, PE devices can verify and discard invalid
address mapping announcements from unauthorized IPv6 mapping prefixes
   to prevent IPv4 prefix hijacking.
