Robert: Neither Gonzalo or I are MIME experts, so we are open to
suggestions.

Are you thinking of gleaning this through the Content-Transfer-Encoding
header?  But that may not be present in SIP unless the entity consist
of multipart subtypes ...?

It will be nice to wrap this up and if it is expedient to hammer this
out with someone who is better versed in MIME than us, we can do so.
