Russ, The problem is that the current CMSKEA draft includes two different usages of id-keyExchangeAlgorithm each associated with different parameter definitions. As Jim pointed out, this is not a good situation since an OID should always be associated with a single parameter definition. The proposed solution (which Jim has agreed to) will define a unique OID (i.e. id-kEAKeyEncryptionAlgorithm) to be used in the KeyAgreementRecipientInfo keyEncryptionAlgorithm field.
