I would think that fixing a client to put in a valid Message-Id and a valid 
Date (and fixing whatever other problems it has) would be far simpler, and 
much more useful, than rewriting it to use ESMTP and look for the optional 
SUBMIT keyword.

You have to ask if it's really worth having an extension for this.
