[I'm putting in this extra line just so the list processor won't be nervous]

SUBMIT is intended to differentiate between well-written, properly
conforming SMTP clients and badly written, nonconforming SMTP clients.
It does this by asking the _badly_ written clients to do something
differentiating.

It appears to me that there's a better chance of success if it's the
well-written clients that have to differentiate themselves.

Ie. the ESMTP keyword should tell the SMTP server to not edit the
message at all (except C-T-E downgrading and adding a Received
header), and that the server may reject the DATA command if the
essage has syntax errors.

Have I missed something obvious?
