Subject: Randy's HPR MIB comments

I'm not going to have a chance to go through all of Randy's comments
prior to our meeting on Wednesday morning, so that meeting will have some
of the drama of a live TV telecast. I can, however, say that I don't
think we'll have any problem addressing the three comments Randy has
flagged as "major". One of these is the Security Considerations content
item, for which I provided some text earlier. (By the way, the -04
version of the APPN MIB, with its new Security Considerations text,
should be coming out tomorrow.) The other two question something that we
did consciously: allow the hprOperatorPathSwitchSupport object to signal
a level of support (switchToPathSupported(3)) beyond what is supported
*via the MIB*. We can decide on Wednesday whether we want to eliminate
this option, or just explain better what we're doing.
