Subject: Re: Managed Object Associations and Algorithms List?
Cross posting with a vengence. I didn't remove Ed's individual address, so he should get 4 copies. Muahahahahahahahaha. Er, ahem. Hmmm. I'll get 4, too, counting my BCC. Oh, well. >Then why not, after similar action with regards to SNMP >Security, merge all 3 lists together? Merging SNMP and SNMP Security is not my call. I understand they were made separate so the security stuff could be in the Security Area, carefully watched over by the spooks, er, security people. :-)} It would take IESG action to decide that all SNMP is generally represented by one big happy mailing list, with separate mailing lists for separate working groups. Actually, as I type this, I realize that if the Secure SNMP Working Group goes away in the near future, as the SNMPv2 Working Group should, it's mailing list would become defunct, too, and all we'd have is the general SNMP list to flame in. I suppose there's something to be said for collapsing to a single mailing list when the work is "done," and assuming we'll create new working groups, with new mailing lists, in the proper areas if we need to to move SNMPv2 from Proposed to Draft.
