Although I don't recall Mr. Stallings speaking up, he's apparently done his
homework.  I looked very briefly at the book.  The forward was up to date
as of a few months ago, and he's been lurking somewhere.  For example, he
picked up the (unresolved) argument about whether gauges latch and stick
forever, presenting the sides and the fact that we didn't resolve it.
