I can respond only to a part of your message.  Both the CMU and
4BSD/ISODE implementations of SNMPv2 will be released, simultaneously,
at month's end.

The particular CMU code you refer to is SMP, not SNMPv2.  SMP is
different than SNMPv2. (SMP was the input to the SNMPv2 WG).

Finally, if you would like to maintain a FAQ and list of
openly-available SNMP packages, this would certainly be a service to the
community.  In fact, speaking as the coordinating editor for The Simple
Times, I'd be happy to include information on the latter in future issues!
