I fail to see how the policy of cancelling working groups promotes the goal of focusing standardization and allowing the exchange of implementation experience. It seems very obvious to me that the result obtained by such a policy is quite the contrary. The presence of a working group chairman, who keeps tabs on the outstanding issues and the level of concensus, would be extremely valuable when it comes time to review the standard for promotion up the standards ladder. > The only weakness is that the community continues to tolerate pointless > messages of little or no redeeming value. Use the 'd' key. What you may find of no value, others might find important. Please do not become a network censor. --karl--
