I hope you're wrong.  It's become apparent that security and the
administrative framework are the areas which are hardest to grasp from
the RFCs.  If the first book out on SNMPv2 gets it wrong, it'll make
the situation worse, not better.  I know that the second edition of The
Simple Book is based on the RFCs (and references them by number), and I
would guess that it'll be out by Interop even though that's earlier
than usual this year.
