To whoever, The attached reply and others like it describe experiences not unlike mine, i.e., I get at at least two copies (and sometimes more) of every message sent to the snmp mail list. Also, every time I post, I get scads of replies stretched across days that "Joe_Blow@megafritz.com".com", his computer, his net, his enterprise, his extended family and all evidence of all of them is dead, never existed, and could not have existed in the three-dimensional world as we know it. ;-) Bob Natale has siad that part of this problem is understood and is being worked on. However, Bob's message did not explain the three or more copy problem, not the amount of dead wood on the email lists; nor that the notification of ID "death" goes to the message author rather than the list maintainer. Can this be fixed? How? Who do we talk to? > Date: Tue, 12 Oct 93 12:55:48 PDT > From:karl@mel-brooks.empirical.com > To: ldr@veritech.com > Subject: Re: Duplicate receipt of all messages from snmp mailing list? > > > > How many of you, like me, are getting two copies of eack message from the > > mailing list? > > I'm getting sometimes as many as 4 copies, plus some navy site is > forwarding yet another copy to me.
