Martin Duke has entered the following ballot position for draft-ietf-lamps-cmp-updates-20: No Objection When responding, please keep the subject line intact and reply to all email addresses included in the To and CC lines. (Feel free to cut this introductory paragraph, however.) Please refer to https://www.ietf.org/about/groups/iesg/statements/handling-ballot-positions/ for more information about how to handle DISCUSS and COMMENT positions. The document, along with other ballot positions, can be found here: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-lamps-cmp-updates/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMENT: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for addressing my DISCUSS about downgrade attacks. I support Paul's DISCUSS. (2.13) IIUC, this section should also require the cmp2021 version. I found it quite confusing that this document is specifying two different versions, with version 3 diffs scattered throughout the draft. It would be much cleaner to have a clean definition of the revised v2, and then a new section that defines v3 with the small diff from v2.
