Clients using ICE to open up NAT/FW pinholes can probably do some smart things with the STUN connectivity checks as well. This would allow for and endpoints to check the available network paths and choose the one that supports SPUD.

I have a feeling that ICE/STUN and SPUD will be somewhat intermingled for bi-directional UDP streams like interactive video (webRTC). Probably a bit premature to have this discussion.
