I just added:

I think that captures the most important of the extensibility directions.  We can edit this requirement going forward to capture other axes of extensibility.

"Must ignore (and pass along unchanged) what you don't understand" is going to be one of the most powerful agents of change we have at our disposal.  Let's make sure it's well-understood.
