More good news:

I've now heard from an iSCSI implementation team at Dell, and additionally from the maintainer of the Linux iSCSI initiator. Both of them are ok with both of the iSCSI drafts that are in WG Last Call, as modified by list discussion (e.g., have to fix that incorrect "MUST use" requirement for authentication).

Linux has already implemented a significant portion of FastAbort functionality in the initiator and is looking for a robust target implementation whose developer(s) would be interested in testing this functionality. A robust target implementation is needed as FastAbort testing will exercise lots of interesting corner cases. If anyone's interested, let me know, and I'll put you in touch with the Linux iSCSI initiator maintainer.

Thanks,
--David
