I've just submitted the following request in to update the storm WG's milestones to reflect what has happened and our current plans. This reflects a few significant changes:

The iSCSI MIB draft will be handled after the main iSCSI drafts in order to pick up any changes that may occur in IETF Last Call and at the IESG. For example, we expect to add iSCSI support for a key that can be used in SCSI version descriptors, including creating an IANA registry for the values used; the details of that could easily change at any stage in the process, and the MIB will almost certainly need to be able to report that value.

Right now, it seems unlikely that we will seek Draft Standard Status for the combined iSCSI draft, but the Prague meeting has been scheduled as the deadline for that decision.

Your working group chairs remain concern about the lack of visible interest in the iSER draft beyond its author. We will be looking to generate interest from implementers early next year.

FYI,
--David (storm WG co-chair)

IETF-Action,

Significant updates are needed to the charter milestones for the storm WG. Here is the current list of milestones that are not Done:

Feb 2010 Working Group Last Call on RDDP MPA startup change draft
Apr 2010 Working Group Last Call on iSER update draft
May 2010 Functionally complete iSCSI SAM-4 (and other) new features draft,
				plus iSCSI MIB update draft
Jul 2010 Working Group decision on whether to seek Draft Standard RFC status
for the combined iSCSI draft (3720bis). [Note: decision may
be made significantly before this date.]
Sep 2010 Working Group Last Call on iSCSI SAM-4 (and other) new features draft
Oct 2010 Working Group Last Call on combined iSCSI draft (3720bis)
Dec 2010 Working Group Last Call on iSCSI MIB update draft

Please make the following changes

(1)
Feb 2010 Working Group Last Call on RDDP MPA startup change draft
Mark this milestone as "Done"

(2)
Apr 2010 Working Group Last Call on iSER update draft
Change the date for this milestone to Jun 2011

(3)
May 2010 Functionally complete iSCSI SAM-4 (and other) new features draft,
				plus iSCSI MIB update draft
Replace that milestone with the following two milestones with new dates:
Jan 2011	Functionally complete iSCSI SAM-4 (and other) new features draft
Mar 2011	First version of iSCSI MIB update draft

(4) Jul 2010 Working Group decision on whether to seek Draft Standard RFC status
for the combined iSCSI draft (3720bis). [Note: decision may
be made significantly before this date.]
Change date to Apr 2011

(5)
Sep 2010 Working Group Last Call on iSCSI SAM-4 (and other) new features draft
Oct 2010 Working Group Last Call on combined iSCSI draft (3720bis)
Combine these into a single milestone with a new date:
May 2011	Working Group Last Call on combined iSCSI draft (3720bis) plus
iSCSI SAM-4 (and other) new features draft

(6)
Dec 2010 Working Group Last Call on iSCSI MIB update draft
Change date to Sep 2011.

This will cause some rearrangement among the milestones. The result should be:

Done Working Group Last Call on RDDP MPA startup change draft
Jan 2011	Functionally complete iSCSI SAM-4 (and other) new features draft.
Mar 2011	First version of iSCSI MIB update draft
Apr 2011 Working Group decision on whether to seek Draft Standard RFC status
for the combined iSCSI draft (3720bis). [Note: decision may
be made significantly before this date.]
May 2011	Working Group Last Call on combined iSCSI draft (3720bis) plus
iSCSI SAM-4 (and other) new features draft
Jun 2011 Working Group Last Call on iSER update draft
Sep 2011 Working Group Last Call on iSCSI MIB update draft

I've cc:'d our AD (Dave Harrington) for his approval.

Thanks,
--David
