We have uploaded a draft of the T2TRG agenda for Chicago at:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/agenda-98-t2trg/

This probably requires some explanation :-)

This time, instead of a summary meeting, where the RG reports to the IETF and everybody also gets to read their mail, we want to try something new.

We will have a “discovery meeting”, where the IETF tells the RG what would be good subjects for work.

(Of course, we have a brief status at the beginning, and there will be some planning of further meetings.)

So, for the main body of the RG meeting, we want to structure the attendance into 3 or 4 breakouts (this is still a bit open depending on the room), where each breakout discusses a topic area and will try to capture the most pressing areas of work that would benefit the topic area. In the end of each such breakout round (we plan to have two, with different topic structures), we want to have a quick roll call of the results.

For each of the breakouts, we’ll need a facilitator, that

* leads the discussion,
* makes sure there are good notes of the outcome (probably involving additional note takers).

If you think we could benefit from discussing a topic area, please come forward as a facilitator for it.

In the end, the result of the “discovery meeting" will be a bit more than the roll call: Each breakout will generate a page or two of notes that the RG can then take home and process, likely shaping the further work of the RG. As importantly as that, the attendees of each breakout session will also take home the seeds of that work, as discussed.

An experiment — I can’t wait to see how well it will work.

Grüße, Carsten
