Forwarding. The purpose of this is to continue the dialog around IoT Onboarding.

Eliot

On Wednesday, 17 March, GlobalPlatform will host a free-to-attend ‘IoT Device Secure Onboarding Solutions Workshop’. Taking place from 8:00am to 11:30am PST, the workshop will provide delegates with an update on industry approaches, and define priorities for the deployment of secure services in components and devices. It will also provide guidance on the management infrastructure of the associated protocols related to device onboarding.

Key contributors and topics include:

Tim Polk (NIST) providing insight into the enterprise side of onboarding.
Peter Steinhäuser (embeDD) providing insight into the consumer side of onboarding.
Steve Hanna (Infineon) exploring Connected Home over IP.
Geoffrey Cooper (Intel) presenting on FIDO Device Onboard.
Michael Richardson (Sandelman Software Works) discussing Bootstrapping Remote Secure Key Infrastructure (BRSKI:RFCabcd).
Eliot Lear (Cisco) presenting on Device Provisioning Protocol (DPP).
We are gathering interested parties and stakeholders, to:

Engage the industry to be inclusive of existing approaches, by focusing on a manageable few resulting solutions.
Promote an open, standards-based approach to scalable, autonomous device onboarding.
Develop implementation guidelines, configurations, test suites and certifications that ease deployment and usage of onboarding approaches, for device use cases and network access technologies.
