We had a very interesting WISHI meeting yesterday. The main focus was on interworking between Azure DTDL and IETF SDF, with a lot of questions answered by Brian Crawford of Microsoft and some discussion by Ari Keränen about his SDF-to-DTDL converter. The SDF ⬌ YANG converter at http://sdf-yang-converter.org was briefly mentioned, but will be one of the main subjects of the hackathon WISHI meeting (see below). We also had a brief discussion of the continuing work on "IoT Information-Model Standards Description”, our taxonomy and “nutrition label” for IoT data modeling activities. What we didn’t get to out of lack of time was W3C’s thing model work: Sebastian Käbisch will give a talk about that at the next regular WISHI meeting. Notes: https://codimd.ietf.org/t2trg-wishi-2021-06-17-notes Video: https://tzi.de/~cabo/t2trg-wishi-2021-06-17.mp4 Reminder: There will be a T2TRG summary meeting on this Monday, 2021-06-21, 15:00-17:00 UTC Details are at https://github.com/t2trg/2021-06-summary Note that we will use meetecho for this meeting. Please check whether your datatracker account works; if it doesn’t, reset its password or get a new one at: https://datatracker.ietf.org/accounts/create/ (It is worth doing this ahead of time as there may need to be an interaction with the IETF secretariat.) T2TRG will not meet at IETF 111 as we are having the summer summary meeting now. However, our WISHI activity will participate in the Hackathon in the week before IETF 111, July 19th to 23rd, with a focus on getting more experience with our various tools working together, particularly the converters from and to SDF (and that’s where http://sdf-yang-converter.org enters the picture, as well as the DTDL converter at http://wishi.nomadiclab.com:8083/odm2dtdl — post an SDF file there, e.g., using curl -d, to get a DTDL translation). We plan to have a hackathon-focused WISHI meeting on July 19th, probably 14:00-16:00 UTC. The next WISHI meeting will happen early September; a doodle will go out in time. So, with these next meetings in firm view, we can start enjoying the summer (it’s going to be 33 °C again today here in Bremen)... Grüße, Carsten
