The problem is that the HTML page with these links doesn't know if  
it's going to be parsed on a system with IPv6 or IPv4 connectivity,  
and/or with or without SCTP capability that isn't firewalled. For the  
former, you can use the DNS and the presence of addresses / a default  
route, but for the latter you never really know until you try.
