The IESG has to review all Tao changes, per RFC 6722. That is unchanged. I recorded your concern as an issue, https://github.com/ietf/tao/issues/44 which includes a pointer to full message and therefore discussion thread.

The GitHub repo where these changes were made had a small group of people involved, including Lars, Neils, and Greg Wood. That is not to say that everyone agreed with everything I proposed, but all my changes were done as pull requests that were reviewed before being merged.

I have no idea what is involved in IESG review, if they've done it in the past, nor how long it will take, and I certainly have no idea what kind of feedback they will provide. I should also mention that I am not committing to do further work on this.
