Hi all,

This is a heads-up regarding an ongoing adoption call for draft-scharf-tcpm-yang-tcp-04 in TCPM.

This document imports groupings from draft-ietf-netconf-tcp-client-server, and in general both documents should be aligned. The objective of a TCPM document is a more comprehensive model that e.g. also includes security (such as TCP-AO), stats, etc.

Obviously, the objective is not to have overlap between the two drafts. One question would benefit from more community feedback: The keep-alive objects in draft-ietf-netconf-tcp-client-server-04 could perhaps be moved to a TCPM document, if there was interest in that. Yet, such a change would result in a document dependency with the corresponding side-effects. From the point of view of the authors, changing the keep-alive groupings is not strictly needed, i.e., by default draft-ietf-netconf-tcp-client-server would not be affected by the document in TCPM.

If you support work on this document in TCPM, or if you have any comments, please free to provide feedback on the TCPM list (tcpm@ietf.org).

Thanks

Michael (TCPM chair hat off)

Betreff: Request for feedback on WG adoption of draft-scharf-tcpm-yang-tcp-04

Dear all,

this mail starts a WG adoption call for
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-scharf-tcpm-yang-tcp-04

So I would like to solicit feedback regarding support for or objections against the
adoption of the document as a WG document in TCPM.

Please provide feedback before March 31st.

For the context and current state of the document, see the presentation sent yesterday
to the mailing list by Mahesh.

Best regards
Michael
