Hi Tom,

The compatibility of the two methods is discussed in section 3 of
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-netconf-netconf-event-notificatio
<https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-netconf-netconf-event-notifications-22>
ns-22
<https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-netconf-netconf-event-notifications-22>
.

There is a way to avoid the method of RFC5277 by using the method of
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-netconf-netconf-event-notificatio
<https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-netconf-netconf-event-notifications-22>
ns-22
<https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-netconf-netconf-event-notifications-22>;
however, referencing RFC 5277 into the draft would not necessarily be a big
issue. What do you think?

Thanks.
Young
