A Revised Internet Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories. This draft is a work item of the TELNET Working Group of the
IETF.

       Title : Telnet Environment Option
       Author(s) : S. Alexander
       Filename : draft-ietf-telnet-envmnt-option-02.txt
       Pages : 7

This document specifies a mechanism for passing environment
information between a telnet client and server. Use of this mechanism
enables a telnet user to propagate configuration information to a
remote host when connecting.

This document corrects some errors in RFC 1408. In order to ensure future
interoperability, a new option number has been assigned to the environment
option by this document.

This document is intended to replace RFC 1408 as a Proposed Standard.
