Thanks for the explanation of the process, Lars. I agree that this is the right way forward, and happy to see the second review. This is by the way indeed the usual process. Proposals get reviewed firstly by some set of people and that set expands later, and in the end IETF consensus is what matters.

Lars has the difficult task of trying to see if he can find a charter that is acceptable to a broad set of IETF participants, under somewhat polarised feedback :-) FWIW, I think that it is possible, and involves more WG driven decisions and just guidance from the new working group. Of course, in the process it may be that not all of us get what we would optimally want, if we didn’t have to find that common consensus.
