Hi, all,

There are at least two documents that might be useful to consider in
this discussion:

http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-intarea-tunnels-01
This doc began in 2010 at the request of several ADs
during meetings in the Philadelphia IETF,
and remains an INTAREA WG item.

Given recent interest, Mark and I are currently
	updating the doc.

Input to this doc would be useful; this is intended
to be the INTAREA's summary of IP tunnel practices.

http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-bonica-intarea-gre-mtu-04
which addresses the specific issue of MTU interactions

There are certainly a lot of other existing documents to consider.

Joe
