Interestingly, it did *not* work for me yesterday on notes.ietf.org in macOS/Chrome, but I didn’t have time to investigate.
Today it does (as does macOS/Safari).  
Maybe there is a bit of a Heisenbug here.
I’ll continue to watch it, as I’m using this function a lot.
