Sorry, but I'm not sure what you are referring to. Off the top of my head I
can think of three or four Mac clients and I'm not aware that any of them
require compiling code.

I just dusted off my MacBook to confirm this, I obtained Beagle IM from the
Mac app store and joined within a couple of minutes.
