Same thing happened to me.

I was caught by suprise when it actually sent the emal to the list,
which made my separate email sent few minutes later to the list quite
redundant. Fortunately I did remember to change the number of weeks in
the expected state to four before I clicked ok, as I was planning to
do four week call, but of course those dates do not match in my manual
announcment and the automated announcement, as I did round the dates
to the end of week, as I know I will be travelling when the four weeks
was done.

Yes, this should be done. I was quite suprised to find both my manual
and automatic announcment in the list after reading my emails next.

You can already set the number of weeks, but you can't specify exact
end date.

Also I quite often want to add some extra text to the email sent to
the list, so it would be useful to have some kind of text box for text
that is to be added to the announcement.
