The Trial 1 server doesn't exist any more, so it hung on my Mac, too.

I killed the app, deleted the config in Library/Application Support/Zulip and restarted it,
and now it let me configure in zulip.ietf.org and it's happy.

On the Mac at least, the app doesn't seem to be any better than pointing your web
browser to https://zulip.ietf.org
