And these things may explain why some of us have stayed with mail
clients that have good and obvious support for downloading
attachments (and alternate body parts more generally), the ability to
easily prefer text-mode messages to HTML one by default when both are
present, and IMAP disconnected mode even though those clients have
not kept up with some modern developments.
