Oh wow, I didn't even see that.  It's nice, to the extent that the filter UI is quite usable.  But it does just disappear on a narrower screen. As Brian notes, it disappears on screens that are decently wide already.  I guess there is a missing button or something.  (Consider using <details> for JavaScript-free popovers on narrower screens...)

I found that I could reopen the filter UI, clear the selection (which has its own button), and apply to see everything again.
