Good idea.  In a more general sense, this reminds me somewhat of the
"winnow" functionality discussed on tz briefly in 2013
<http://mm.icann.org/pipermail/tz/2013-September/thread.html#19741>.
Properly implementing that for tz would possibly require a bit of a
re-architecting on that project. (e.g., How do we indicate which of the
America/Indiana/* zones is the main one if we winnow from, say, 2000?)

Perhaps that's ultimately worthwhile, but I'm not sure where that ranks on
the priority queue of all the possible things tz could be implementing,
especially those which would require some re-architecting anyway...
