The only columns that the MS may leave vacant are those for which the
agent replies noSuchObject.  If the agent wishes to allow a MS not to
explicitly set a particular column, it may supply a defval for that
column.

We need to explicitly state in this section that this applies only to
columnar objects with read-create access.
