RFC 2070 has been approved by the IESG as Proposed Standard.
That means it's been endorsed by the IETF in the only way we endorse
things; the IAB has not had any opinion one way or the other on RFC 2070.

Once the IAB workshop document is out in RFC format, I fully intend
that there will *be* an IETF policy, but yes, that isn't written yet.
