I believe there are two use cases:

If I understand you correctly, it will do the same thing when napt44 is in
the CPE since DS-Lite since includes napt in the AFTR.

In other words, it will perform a UPnP/NAT-PMP<->PCP IWF where it will take
UPnP message, encap on v6 packets and send to AFTR.

Another use case is IPv6 stateful firewall where dual stack/IPv6 host in the
home wants to manage mappings on the CPE. Other people posted use cases
related to this scenario.
