Australian Stock Exchange was using multicast to brokers in the
mid-1990s. I don't know if it is now, however that's just because I
haven't had any contact with anybody who has done anything in that
environment since.

I thought it was for distributing share prices, however I've also come
across "hoot-n-holler" networks, so it might have been voice:
