This is exactly what I said in the mail you quoted - a barber shop is an
end-site.

We can't go around and declare "this must be possible today" if we well
know we have no answers for the consequences, like, routing scalability
problems for "everyone gets PI and a BGP table slot", where no solution
is on anyones horizon.
