Ah, no.  Mobile carriers are one of the easier settings for the client
side, because OSes and applications are, well, "more under control" than
in your typical household network.  Still it needed some pushing from
Apple to make app developers see the light.

No, it's not - as the example given, if the ipv6-only server needs to
access (as a client) ipv4-only resources like Github, you end up with 
two-way translations...

Still, not having to bother with IPv4 at all sounds like a really great
benefit.  I more and more find dual-stack a large nuisance and waste of
OPEX...
