That format of table isn't very accessible. It certainly won't play
well in a text reader

If a tabular layout is needed perhaps:

       Value          Description
       =====        =========

       text             Indicates that the telephone number supports text
                         messages (SMS).

       voice           Indicates a voice telephone number.

would suffice; but it's still not ideal.
