Hi all,

On March 20, 2020, the IETF will be hosting a leadership training day for working group chairs. The training will take place in Vancouver, Canada, in the vicinity of the IETF 107 meeting venue. The training will be provided by Incite Learning <http://www.incitelearning.com/ <http://www.incitelearning.com/>> and will be tailored specifically to the IETF. The training will involve hands-on group exercises and role play. It will cover such topics as contentious conversations, conflict, mediation, building consensus, and influencing in the absence of authority.

The IESG is organizing this training session as a pilot program to be reviewed, potentially improved, and offered again in the future. As such, spaces in the program are limited. Those who are interested in attending but not able to do so this time will have another opportunity in the future.

If you are interested in attending the training day and you are able to commit to being in Vancouver for the whole day on March 20, please respond to me off-list by December 19 and provide the following information:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Which WG(s) you chair
- Which other areas of the IETF where you are active besides the WGs you chair

The IESG will aim to assemble a pool of participants for the pilot that is representative of the diversity of the IETF’s participants and technical areas. Early in 2020, we will send individual invitations to those selected for the pilot and will request confirmation from those individuals.

Please let us know if you have questions.

Best,
Alissa Cooper
on behalf of the IESG
