Hello!

The goal for https://chairs.ietf.org is to provide a useful resource for IETF working group chairs and others providing leadership and support for IETF WGs. Thanks to everyone who has shared their ideas and thoughts about the site (still under development) on this list and during the WG Chairs Forums a few weeks ago. Several significant updates and additions have been applied since then:

# Organization

The page at chairs.ietf.org provides general information related to and about chairing IETF working groups. Sections of the site are (intended to be) primarily organized by the general tasks of IETF Working Group chairs. These are currently:

- Managing mailing lists
- Managing documents
- Organizing meetings

# Content

In addition to some further updates, all content found at and under www.ietf.org/chairs has been updated, reorganized, and published to chairs.ietf.org

NOTE: Other messages on this list (and elsewhere) have commented on various layout details and features of other sites that share the same platform as chairs.ietf.org. These are being noted and will be addressed as refinements are ongoing.

# Suggestions/corrections

All the pages are now mirrored to a Github repository [1] so that suggestions for corrections, updates, and changes can be made directly via that channel. Suggestions are also encouraged via email to: support@ietf.org (See: https://chairs.ietf.org/en/improvements)

# Next steps

One of the main points of feedback was to consolidate WG chair information into a single location. The next step in towards that goal is to review and integrate content currently at:

https://trac.ietf.org/trac/wgchairs/wiki

I expect to share another update around the end of January. In the meantime, discussion and input on this list, in email directly to me, or via Github is always welcome.

Let me know if I can provide any further information.

Sincerely,

-Greg
