Hi, if you are using Keynote, I'm told it can save-as PDF with a slide per animation step. With OpenOffice, I use: https://github.com/monperrus/ExpandAnimations which will the same thing. You can only use Appear and Disappear. No flying objects in, etc. but in general, you probably don't want to use them anyway. This works rather well in my opinion, and if you really want some examples, I can point you at some of mine.
