Oh, I forget.

Some students follow lectures over 4G, and have a limited amount of data
traffic per month.  These students want to receive audio, slides and
blackboard, but don't want to spend money on viewing the lecturer's face,
no matter how handsome.

This, to me, implies the need for labelling of the individual streams or
tracks, and the ability for the client to select which tracks it receives.

This might or might not be related to simulcast.
