Hi,

In current wpack proposal, there is no cache discovery mechanism.

In the case of community wifi via a satellite system, a wifi router is connected to a satellite terminal which is talking to a satellite to go to the internet. All user devices are connected to the satellite terminal via wifi. The satellite terminal prefetches popular web page bundles opportunistically and store them in the cache inside the terminal. The cache is on-path for user agents to go to the internet. The user agents do not know the existence of the on-path cache and the agent will go to the internet when a user type a url even though the web page is already in the terminal cache.

One approach is to explicitly configure user agents to fetch the page from the on-path cache. Squid explicit proxy can be one of the existing approaches?
Do we have approaches to let us explicitly configure user agents to point it to the cache?
any suggestions?

thanks.
