Subject: X42D - RFC1327 mapping s/w for Internet DNS available on anon ftp (address converter included)

Hallo,

The Public Domain software to deal with RFC1327 mapping rules in Internet
DNS according to RFC 1664 is finally available from anonymous ftp:

   ftp://synw03.elettra.trieste.it/x42d/

Get the whole content of the directory. The documentation is available both
in PostScript and in (MacBinary) Microsoft Word (5.1) for Mac.

Please also read the CopyRight.Notice file.

The software includes also an RFC 1327 address converter, and some tools
for mapping tables conversions.

Please read also "implementation.doc" carefully.

Use the software as you like, and report comments, corrections, suggestions
back to

	mailing@infn.it

address. If you make an addition to it and you wish to have in included into
the package, also contact the above address.

The above URL will always point to the latest version of the routines. Thus
if you wish to mantain a local copy, mirror it!

Feel free to pass this information along to whoever could be interested in
using the software itself, R&D, commercial or just to play with it.

Please, report back about any useful application of the software you were
able to find, as the list of implementations is needed to decide positively
or negatively about the progress of the theoretical specification behind it.

Ok, we hope it can halp in some useful applications. Enjoy!
