I am not aware of one.

<figure does not have a type= attribute, like <ol does.
As with all auto-numbered items, it probably should have one, probably in combination with group= as well.
(Even with that I still don’t know how the current section number can be referenced from type= though.)

Note that artwork and sourcecode have a type=, but that means something entirely different (duh).
