Get the XML with (foo is the anchor/handle that you want to use):

$ doilit -x=foo 10.1007/978-3-642-14623-7_13
<reference anchor="foo" >
  <front>
    <title>Efficient Indifferentiable Hashing into Ordinary Elliptic Curves</title>
    <author initials="E." surname="Brier" fullname="Eric Brier">
      <organization></organization>
    </author>
    <author initials="J." surname="Coron" fullname="Jean-Sébastien Coron">
      <organization></organization>
    </author>
    <author initials="T." surname="Icart" fullname="Thomas Icart">
      <organization></organization>
    </author>
    <author initials="D." surname="Madore" fullname="David Madore">
      <organization></organization>
    </author>
    <author initials="H." surname="Randriam" fullname="Hugues Randriam">
      <organization></organization>
    </author>
    <author initials="M." surname="Tibouchi" fullname="Mehdi Tibouchi">
      <organization></organization>
    </author>
    <date year="2010"/>
  </front>
  <seriesInfo name="Advances in Cryptology – CRYPTO 2010" value="pp. 237-254"/>
  <seriesInfo name="DOI" value="10.1007/978-3-642-14623-7_13"/>
</reference>

Or, if you want a reference ready to be pasted into a kramdown-rfc document,

$ doilit -h=foo 10.1007/978-3-642-14623-7_13
  foo:
    seriesinfo:
      Advances in Cryptology – CRYPTO 2010: pp. 237-254
      DOI: 10.1007/978-3-642-14623-7_13
    title: Efficient Indifferentiable Hashing into Ordinary Elliptic Curves
    author:
    - name: Eric Brier
      ins: E. Brier
    - name: Jean-Sébastien Coron
      ins: J. Coron
    - name: Thomas Icart
      ins: T. Icart
    - name: David Madore
      ins: D. Madore
    - name: Hugues Randriam
      ins: H. Randriam
    - name: Mehdi Tibouchi
      ins: M. Tibouchi
    date: ‘2010’

(The command line tool doilit is part of the kramdown-rfc tool, install with

gem install kramdown-rfc

See also https://github.com/martinthomson/i-d-template/blob/main/doc/SETUP.md for more elaborate instructions.)

On the bibxml7 site, possibly, there is a problem with processing the underscore, but I can’t diagnose this without up-to-date source code.
